About us .....

What's Happening

Monthly Milestones

Specialized Needs Recreation offers various recreation programs for youth and adults who have challenges participating in other programs because of a learning disability, sensory impairment, mental, emotional of physical handicap.

Because SNR is a non-profit organization we are able to get a variety of group activities at discount rates so that we can provide memorable opportunities at an affordable price.

SNR is funded by the United Way, the cities of Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden and Rathdrum recreation departments, various grants and monthly fundraisers.  SNR also receives donations and contributions from our communities and local businesses to scholarship individuals to attend these activities.  It is our goal to provide recreational opportunities to all people with disabilities regardless of their ability to pay.

Due to our minimum staff, we are unable to provide 1:2 staffing but participants are welcome to join all activities if they can provide their own staff.
