Scholarships .....

Specialized Needs Recreation of Kootenai County believes that people should be able to participate in our activities regardless of their financial resources. With this belief in mind, we work together to provide grants and Scholarships to people who have financial needs so they can participate in our programs.  It is our goal to provide recreational opportunities to all people with disabilities regardless of their ability to pay.

Specialized Needs Recreation offers two types of Scholarships. Some are full scholarships, which pay the total fee for an activity. Others pay a portion of an activity fee, usually one half of the total fee. We have many more partial Scholarships to award than full Scholarships so we strongly encourage participants to apply for a partial Scholarship and to attempt to partially pay for their own activity fees. To apply for these Scholarships participants must first qualify for the school lunch program, fill out a Scholarship application completely and honestly and return to Angie Goucher for approval.

If you are interested in applying for a Scholarship call Angie at 755-6781 or simply go to the forms link and fill out our online application and mail it in to P.O. Box 2451, Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho  83816.
